What you're paying for

What the price includes

A fixed price that doesn't change between booking and the kerb. Here's what's built into every transfer quote.

Every SwiftGate transfer price covers five things as standard, regardless of the route or the vehicle type. The vehicle and driver are obvious — a clean, inspected car driven by a vetted, background-checked professional. Fuel is included in the quoted price, not added at the end. Standard waiting time at airport pickups is sixty minutes from the actual landing time (not the scheduled landing), which is enough time for passport control, baggage reclaim and customs in normal conditions at any of the five airports we cover.

Flight tracking is included on every airport transfer booking. Your driver doesn't start the clock from the scheduled departure time — they monitor the actual flight status in real time and adjust the pickup to the confirmed landing. If your flight from London is an hour late, the driver isn't waiting at the airport for an hour burning waiting-time allowance. They adjust the departure from their base and arrive at the right time. This is the feature that makes a fixed price genuinely fixed: a delayed flight doesn't produce a bill you weren't expecting.

For fast-track bookings, the airport representative and the expedited-channel access are included in the fast-track fee. The representative's time, the priority-lane processing, and the coordination with the transfer driver are one package — you pay the per-person fast-track rate and the transfer rate, and the two services are coordinated so there's no gap between leaving the terminal airside and getting in the car.

What's not included: gratuities (entirely at the passenger's discretion), tolls on intercity routes (rare and small, typically under $1 on the routes we operate), and additional waiting time beyond the included sixty minutes if the delay is exceptional and cannot be attributed to a standard arrival process. In that case, the operations team contacts the passenger before the waiting-time cap is reached — there are no surprise charges on an already-paid booking.

For corporate accounts, the pricing structure is the same per-booking rate, with monthly invoicing consolidating all bookings under the account into a single statement by cost centre. Corporate clients with high monthly volumes can discuss a rate schedule with Reem Tawil at the point of account setup. See the corporate page for details.

Quick answers

Pricing questions

The quoted price covers the vehicle, the driver, fuel, and standard waiting time. For airport pickups, flight tracking is included — your driver monitors the actual landing time and adjusts the pickup accordingly. There are no meter charges, no surcharges for night arrivals, and no per-bag additions. The number you see in the quote confirmation is the number you pay. For fast-track bookings, the per-person fast-track fee covers the airport representative, the expedited-channel access and the coordination with your transfer car. Nothing else is added at the airport.

Standard waiting time included in all airport transfer prices is sixty minutes from the actual landing time — not the scheduled time. This covers passport control, baggage reclaim and customs in normal conditions at any of the five airports. Your driver is tracking the live flight status, so they know when you've landed and they start the sixty-minute window from that point. If the delay is expected to significantly exceed sixty minutes due to an airport-side issue (a baggage system problem, for instance), contact the dispatch team and we'll hold the driver or arrange a replacement at no extra charge to you. We don't penalise passengers for delays caused by the airport or the airline.

Cancellations made twenty-four hours or more before the scheduled pickup are fully refunded — no deduction, no administration fee. Cancellations between twelve and twenty-four hours before the pickup incur a 25% administration fee. Cancellations under twelve hours before the scheduled pickup are charged at 50% of the transfer price, because the driver has already been assigned and dispatched for preparation. Rescheduling to a different time on the same or different day is free with twelve hours notice. For last-minute reschedules under twelve hours, contact the operations team directly by phone — we'll do our best to accommodate the change without a rescheduling charge if the driver hasn't yet departed for the airport.

Prices are quoted in USD by default, as this simplifies international bookings and avoids confusion around which exchange rate applies. EGP equivalent prices are available on request — and when you request them, the EGP figure is locked at the exchange rate on the day of booking confirmation, not the day of travel. This matters because the gap between confirmation date and travel date can be weeks, and currency movements in that window can be significant. The locked EGP rate is stated on the booking confirmation and doesn't change. For corporate accounts invoiced monthly in EGP, the monthly invoice applies the rate from the last business day of the billing month to the USD total.

Payment is made in advance to confirm the booking. We accept bank transfer (SWIFT/IBAN), credit card (Visa and Mastercard processed via a PCI-compliant gateway), and cash for bookings made in person at the Nasr City office at 38 Makram Ebeid Street, Cairo. No payment is taken at the kerb — the transfer is fully paid and confirmed before you travel, and the driver carries no payment facility. For corporate accounts, payment terms are net-30 on monthly invoices. For individual bookings, payment must clear before the confirmation is issued — typically within twenty-four hours of the quote being accepted.

No. The quoted price applies regardless of the time of day, the day of the week, or whether the pickup falls on a public holiday — Egyptian national holidays, Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha or any other date. Night arrivals at 2am, early-morning departures at 4am and holiday-season peak bookings are all billed at the identical rate to a midday pickup on a Tuesday in March. This is a deliberate policy: the "night rate" and "holiday surcharge" that kerbside drivers apply are pricing tactics that work because tired passengers don't know the fair fare. Pre-booking at a fixed rate removes that entirely — and the rate you see in the quote table above is valid at all times.

Yes. If you book a round-trip — arrival transfer on the way in and departure transfer on the way out — the combined price is discounted by 10% against the sum of the two individual rates. The same applies to fast-track if you want the arrivals escort on the way in and the departures escort on the way out. To book a round-trip package, mention both legs when you submit the quote request and the team will quote the combined price. Corporate accounts with regular inbound/outbound flows are quoted on a route-rate basis that incorporates the round-trip discount automatically.

Payment process

How booking and payment works

From quote to confirmed driver — four steps, no ambiguity about what you've paid for.

01

Submit the details

Use the contact form or email the operations desk with your flight number, arrival airport, destination address and party size. If you want fast-track or child seats, include that in the request. You'll receive a quote within one hour during working times (08:00–22:00 Cairo time, seven days a week).

02

Receive and accept the quote

The quote is a fixed, all-in price for the service described. It includes the vehicle, driver, waiting time and flight tracking. If you've requested fast-track, the per-person rate is shown separately alongside the transfer rate. Accepting the quote by reply email starts the payment process — you don't need to call or fill in another form.

03

Pay and receive confirmation

Payment by bank transfer, credit card or — for local clients — cash at the Nasr City office. Once payment clears (same day for card, one business day for bank transfer), you receive a booking confirmation with the driver's name, vehicle registration, and the pickup instructions. The confirmation is your record — keep it or forward it to anyone in your party.

04

Travel and transfer

On the day of travel, your driver monitors the live flight status and is in position at arrivals before you land. You exit, find the driver with your name on the sign, and that's it. If you've booked fast-track, the representative meets you before immigration. No negotiation, no meter, no conversation about price — it's already handled. For intercity transfers, the driver collects from the agreed address at the confirmed time.
